Remembering Mr Lee Kuan Yew

This tribute was the most meaningful to me as to me personally too, I felt that in today's society, we tend to take a lot of things for granted. The sacrifices that Mr Lee Kuan Yew had made was to give Singaporean's the privileges that we currently have, and we should not take it for granted. Instead we should be grateful and thank him for his sacrifices, his determination, courage and his contributions to Singapore that transform it from a third-world country to a first-world country.

Remembering Mr Lee Kuan Yew

This tribute was the most meaningful to us as it truly shows how much Mr Lee Kuan Yew has contributed to Singapore. Due to Mr Lee Kuan Yew being such a visionary and putting in so much effort in the development of our country, he transformed us from a third world country to a first world one within 50 years, equipping us with first world services and facilities and drastically improving our lives.

We felt that the tribute of a student drawing Mr Lee Kuan Yew with his names emulates the same amount of dedication and perseverance Mr Lee Kuan Yew put into developing our country.

Remembering Mr Lee Kuan Yew

Mr Lee's effort for the nation has been recognised throughout the globe and to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, a role model. To be praised and admired by someone who is considered to be a great leader, makes the person even special. His efforts has helped Singapore prosper from a fishing village to a trading port for my countries to trade. 

I agree with this quote as if not for his far-sightedness, Singapore would not be where it is today. When we go to the tap and clean water comes out, that's his legacy. The clean and green Singapore we have today, that makes it a garden city is his doing. His perseverance and tenacity enabled Singapore to grow and flourish into a economic hub. Without him, Singapore would definitely not be where we are today.

Note:

For those that didn't come today(Serena),
During S&W, we learnt the triangle formation/tactic

During Math, we received back the worksheets that we had handed in, and we were taught about the special 5 marks of every worksheet
(For more info, please contact your fellow classmate(s)/friend(s) to brief you).
We also learnt how to answer questions that test your understanding on the ways of using the simplified version of a quadratic equation; an example is (For y=5-4x-x^2, Can y never be more than 9)
(For solution, please contact your fellow classmate(s)/friend(s) to assist you in each step).
During Chinese, we had spelling on the words that was learnt. Out of 15, 10 were chosen and we went through the passing grade(60%) and the consequences of failing/not get full marks. More info on Spelling
During English, we were given a worksheet on Brainstorming techniques for the Argumentative Essay and we went through all of the techniques.

During Biotechnology, we were given a new worksheet on the cells

( The Cell(II) ) and we went through the Prokaryotic cells. For the practical, we learnt how to use the microscope, and we did experiments on the yeast, leaf and the Tris-borate-EDTA (TBE) buffer (Pg6-11 of the Laboratory Manual)
